"They are our partners in this learning enterprise, and we have a special responsibility to use this knowledge--not to fill up journals, but to make the lives of these children better."

"In the good years, work very hard to win everything that's possibly winnable. In the bad years, work just as hard to keep your losses to a minimum. There are good times, and there are bad times. But you have to stay in the game."
~Edward Zigler~
"You are the stars and the world is watching you. By your presence you send a message to every village, every city, every nation. A message of hope. A message of victory. The right to play on any field? You have earned it. The right to study in any school? You have earned it. The right to be anyone's neighbor? You have earned it."
~Eunice Kennedy Shriver~
"Passion to make sure all children were taught in environments, and ways that truly nurtured their abilities to grow, and to develop to their fullest abilities."
~Louise Derman-Sparks~
"We as professionals in the early childhood field have the opportunity to shape a child's life for the better."
~Sandy Escobido~
Mary,
ReplyDeleteI love your quotes, especially Escobido's. It reminds me that even though we are doing a job that requires daily, ordinary and mundane tasks are jobs are important. We make a difference in the lives of the children in our care. If we step away from the every day and look at the big picture we remember how important and fulfilling our jobs really are.
In the early childhood field it is very important that we as educators keep a healthy environment for the children we teach; As told in the Escobido's quote. I do agree with this quote, As some of us know not all children have the healthiest lifestyle at home, whether it is emotional or physical. In the end it is very adamant that we maintain a healthy lifestyle within the the school walls.
ReplyDeleteEscobido's quote is one that I chose to post as well. The goals we have in this field seem enormous at times but I feel this quote helps to focus my efforts and feel good about each small achievement I can accomplish each day.
