The website that I chose to research was from the Australian Early Childhood Advocacy Organization http://www.earlychildhoodaustralia.org.au/
I chose this website because Australia had always interested me and I have family that lives there. My fiance and I are hoping that in a few years we will be able to move there, and I want to be able to know as much as I can about the field that I wish to work in.
I am very interested in finding out how other colleagues in my class choose their websites. The only advice I can give is to choose something that interests you, and something that you know nothing about. Good Luck to everyone.
Hi Mary!
ReplyDeleteGreat post! I hope you receive responses from your contacts; they sound like amazing people to talk to! I wish you the best, and I hope you get the answers you're looking for! :)
I had the opportunity to spend 10 days in Austraila a few years back, and it was gorgeous. I am interested in learning about what their early childhood trends and issues are there! Hopefully you also have success in hearing back from your contacts. I think it will be neat learning about other trends and issues of early childhood in other countries!
ReplyDeleteMary,
ReplyDeleteI have had a chance to find a blog by a teacher in Australia -- http://www.letthechildrenplay.net. She focuses on Play-based education and has great documentation of the work she does! If for some reason your contacts don't work in Canada and Germany, she may be a good person to talk to about what play looks like in Australia (along with the blog). I am always impressed by how well she understands children and play, and how she just lets them be when it comes to play.
Good luck with your contacts!
